aurora husky HIKE
Hike with a husky to our private, north-facing aurora viewing location. Hot drink in hand, survey the horizon for shimmering curtains of green.
Would you rather experience the northern lights with dozens of other viewers, cramped in a small lodge? Or crowded around a parking lot, headlights dimming the shimmering green and purple strands in the sky? Or would you prefer a private experience, at an aurora viewing site set deep in nature, far away from busy roads or crowded buildings?
This trip is designed for those who want a private aurora viewing experience accompanied by fresh air, peace, and quiet. Bringing along a husky friend is optional.
Our aurora viewing site is accessible only by foot. We will hike up through the boreal forest, our trail lit by high-powered headlamps. Once we arrive at our viewing location, we will build a campfire, make a hot drink, and settle in to search the horizon for lights. We have an open, unobstructed view of the northern horizon, far away from any city or road light pollution. If the aurora is out, we are certain to see it from our position at the top of the ridge.
Our tours are private -- you will experience the aurora accompanied only by your guide and the huskies.
