We are the Arctic Dog Adventure Company! We are an off-grid Siberian Husky kennel in the Interior of Alaska (near Fairbanks) offering multi day dog sled tours. Our ecotourism company focuses on teaching small groups of people to drive their own dog sleds on trips from 2 to 10 days.

EXPEDITION GUIDE
(LIVE-IN)
We are looking for an experienced and professional dog sled guide to help support our multi day dog sled tours. This is a salaried position most commonly known in the sled dog world as a "handler + guide." We are looking for a qualified individual (or couple) to help us care for and train our Siberian Husky sled dogs, as well as help execute tours during the tour season (November-April).
COMPENSATION
Starting Pay: $2500/month + housing.
Incentive Pay: Tips, Quarterly Raises, End of Season Bonus, increased salary for returning Guides.
Season: October 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024.
Time off: At least two full days off per week. These may not be consecutive or on weekends during the busy season, but we try our best to accommodate your off the clock adventures!
Housing: Dog-friendly dry cabin accommodations next door to the kennel. Heat, electricity & sauna included.
EXPEDITION GUIDE
(FAIRBANKS LOCAL)
We are looking for an experienced & professional dog sledding guide capable of supporting the delivery of our multi day wilderness dog sled trips and has, or is able to arrange, their own housing and transportation for the winter season.
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2023/2024.
COMPENSATION
Starting Pay: $2500/month + $200/month gas stipend.
Incentive Pay: Tips, quarterly raises, end of season bonus, increased salary for returning guides.
Season: October 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024.

SUMMER 2024
UNPAID INTERNSHIP FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS
Want to learn about off grid life and how to mush dogs in Alaska? We offer a volunteer/travel opportunity most commonly known in the sled dog world as a "handler." In exchange for help caring for and training the sled dogs, we teach you how to mush and provide food & accommodations. Please note: unless you are authorized to work in the USA, we cannot offer paid compensation or opportunity for guide work (nor will we offer or expect it).
COMPENSATION
Starting Pay: None.
Benefits: Full room and board. Heat, electricity, food & drink (not alcohol) included. Private cabin with shared kitchen & common area.
Season: May-September. We are accepting applications for Summer 2024!
