We are the Arctic Dog Adventure Company! We are an off-grid Siberian Husky kennel in the Interior of Alaska (near Fairbanks) offering half day, full day, and multi day dog sled tours. Our ecotourism company focuses on teaching small groups of people to drive their own dog sleds on trips from 2 hours to 7 days.
HANDLER + ASSISTANT DOG SLED GUIDE

​We are looking for qualified individuals to help us care for and train our Siberian Husky sled dogs, guide "Drive Your Own Dog Team" dog sled tours in the winter, hiking tours in the summer, as well as care for our 3 Icelandic horses and off-grid property. This is a salaried position most commonly known in the sled dog world as a "handler."

Who Can Apply: Age 18 + US Nationals/Green Card Holders
Full Time?: Yes. 40 hour work week on average.
Pay Range: Starts at $3000-3800/month, DOE.
Incentive Pay: Additional per-tour pay.
Benefits: SEP-IRA for qualified employees.
Season: Year-round. May offer seasonal to start.
Time off: At least two full days off per week. These may not be consecutive or on weekends during the busy season, but we try our best to accommodate your off the clock adventures!
Housing: This position does not include housing.
