We are the Arctic Dog Adventure Company! We are an off-grid Siberian Husky kennel in the Interior of Alaska (near Fairbanks) offering half day, full day, and multi day dog sled tours. Our ecotourism company focuses on teaching small groups of people to drive their own dog sleds on trips from 2 hours to 7 days.
HANDLER + ASSISTANT DOG SLED GUIDE
We are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 winter season.
We are looking for two experienced and professional guides to help support our multi day dog sled tours. This is a salaried position most commonly known in the sled dog world as a "handler." We are looking for qualified individuals to help us care for and train our Siberian Husky sled dogs, as well as help execute tours.
DETAILS
Who Can Apply: Age 18 + US Nationals/Green Card Holders
Full Time?: Yes.
Starting Pay: Starts at $3750/month.
Incentive Pay: Additional per-tour pay.
Benefits: SEP-IRA for qualified employees.
Season: Year-round.
Time off: At least two full days off per week. These may not be consecutive or on weekends during the busy season, but we try our best to accommodate your off the clock adventures!
Housing: This position does not include housing.
Hiring Timeline: Applications close July 31. Interviews will be scheduled in early to mid-August, Job offer by end of August. Applications for next season will be accepted but not responded to until the next hiring period.
