MULTI DAY DOG SLEDDING ADVENTURES
4-10 Days | January - April
Our multi-day dog sledding expeditions take you to little-known, magical places in Interior & Arctic Alaska, the traditional lands of the Dena & Inupiat peoples. We weave together time with Siberian Huskies, pristine wilderness areas, Alaskan-style meals, cozy accommodations, and abundant opportunities for Northern lights viewing.
AURORA OVERNIGHT TOURS
2 Days | November - December
The perfect Alaskan dog sledding experience -- drive your own dog team over the frozen summits and snow laden forests of the White Mountains National Recreation Area to a hand built log cabin complete with a view. One of the best places on earth to view the northern lights, this incredible landscape has over two hundred miles of trail ideal for travel by dog team.
SUMMER HUSKY HIKES
2-3 Hours | July - October
Welcome to our off-grid Alaskan homestead & kennel! Meet the dogs and choose your own Siberian Husky hiking buddy . They are all so sweet -- it's a tough decision! You will learn to harness your husky, and then together we will embark on a nature walk through the old-growth boreal forest that surrounds the homestead. The dogs will demonstrate their pulling instinct as they help you up the hill. We will point out wildflowers, trees, and animals on our walk up to the top of the ridge, where vast panoramic views of the Chatanika River Valley and the White Mountains await.
Founded in 2016 by Iditarod musher Lisbet Norris and wildlife biologist Nils Pedersen, third-generation mushers with deep expertise and a strong commitment to ethical dog mushing practices, Arctic Dog Adventure Co. is Alaska's first certified ecotourism dog sledding company. A branch of the world’s oldest Siberian Husky kennel, our speciality is backcountry travel by dog sled, offering our clients low-impact access to pristine wilderness areas across Alaska.
I can't describe the feeling of moving along the trail with the dogs pulling together in front of me, and in such a gorgeous expansive land - it's one of those "I can't believe I'm so lucky as to be here" moments. And I had many of them.
