Since our founding, Arctic Dog Adventure Co. has been committed to responsibly exploring the Alaskan backcountry. We are thankful for our fantastic community of clients and for your patience and flexibility as we have adapted our policies and schedule in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We have canceled all husky hikes this summer. We anticipate opening for fall aurora tours starting mid September, and with winter dog sled tours as soon as the snow falls.
We are fortunate to live in the expansive Far North, where opportunities for fresh air and solitude are readily available. As we prepare for the winter season, we are looking at how we run our tours, and how we can adapt our experiences for the safety and comfort of our clients and guides.
We are updating our operating protocols to reflect the impact COVID-19 has had on our global community. We need to highlight the fact that we cannot eliminate all risk of catching COVID-19 on our trips, but from reducing trip sizes to increasing sanitation measures, please be assured we are doing our best to operate safely and responsibility.
We are paying attention to local, state, and federal health mandates, and operating accordingly.*
We have updated our booking and cancellation policies, allowing for easier cancellation and refunds.
We will require a health declaration form at the start of each trip
We will be doing daily temperature checks on each trip and will require masks when in vehicles and indoors.
We are spacing out trip dates to allow for thorough cleaning and sanitation of gear used on previous trips.
We are releasing our 2021 trip dates soon, as well as introducing a new Fall Aurora Hiking Overnight Tour. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about dog sled adventures in the time of coronavirus.
